2014-15

18 April 2015

I haven't actually written much - just notes and bits and pieces but I have doing a lot of reading and I can now report that I have totally got used to my Kindle. I no longer find it annoying to have only one page rather than two. I like the way you can make the print size larger which saves you getting your specs out (always useful) and I like the ease with which I can get to the station, start reading (I don't care if the train is late any more), get on when it arrives, sit down and carry on reading without losing my place. I still prefer books for reading at other times though.

A little game for you - what book is that I'm reading?
Oh I'm enjoying reading her books - this is the third one I'm on now and I intend to read them all. She suggests other books which I now NEED to read - many of them are not in print and certainly not available as ebooks
See? we DO need libraries you bastards. Stop shutting them down!!

The FIRST POST OF 2015

OK we'll slightly gloss over 2014 - I'm afraid we have to, because, today's date is...

1 March 2015
And here we see 2015's snowdrops on my lawn,  to prove it.

Although in fairness to me -  I did manage to get a new paperback edition sorted out for the GBD in 2014 and here is a picture of something that I've never had before; a box o' books. It too hails from 2014. I got in a small stock of the new paperback. And why do I have a box of books? Because I need them to sell at author events. I have accepted an invitation to attend a Reading Group which has chosen the GBD as one of its books to read. I can't ell you how pleased I am.
